Scholarship Application

Maximus Munro Foundation — recognizing students who lead with Heart, Hustle, and Honor.

Heart. Hustle. Honor.

About This Scholarship

The Maximus Munro Foundation was created to carry forward the life, character, and legacy of Maximus Munro by investing in young people who embody the values Max lived by: Heart, Hustle, and Honor — with a focus on hands-on, technical careers. This scholarship supports students pursuing their next chapter — whether that's a college, university, trade school, apprenticeship, certification program, or other qualifying post-secondary path.

We are not simply looking for the highest GPA or the longest list of accomplishments. We want to know who you are, how you treat people, how hard you're willing to work, and what you hope to do with this opportunity. We encourage careers in the skilled trades — we're looking for students who want to go to work.

We'll email you a private link so you can save your progress and finish later. You don't need a nomination to apply — you can start right here, or a teacher, coach, counselor, or mentor can nominate you first.

Core Values Questions

Answer each question in your own words. There's no strict word limit, but a focused, specific story is stronger than a long one.

HEART means caring about other people, making people feel seen and valued, showing compassion, and doing the right thing even when nobody is watching.

Tell us about a time when you demonstrated HEART. What did you do? Who did it impact? What did you learn?

0 words

HUSTLE means working for what you want. It means showing up, overcoming setbacks, taking responsibility, and continuing when quitting would be easier.

Tell us about something you've had to work exceptionally hard to achieve or overcome. What did that effort look like in the moment, and how have you stayed consistent with that same hustle since?

0 words

HONOR means integrity, character, accountability, and treating people with respect.

Tell us about a situation when doing the right thing wasn't necessarily the easiest thing to do. What choice did you make and why?

Video Response

Record a 2-3 minute video covering your personal story, educational goals, and financial need. Most phone videos work fine — you don't need special equipment.

Your video uploads in the background, so you can keep working on the rest of the application — just keep this tab open until it says "Uploaded." Only one video can be attached; choosing a new file replaces the previous one. The application can't be submitted while a video is still uploading.

Recommendation

One recommendation from someone outside your family who can speak to your character, work ethic, and integrity.

I'll upload the letter myself

Email my recommender and ask them to submit it directly
