Maximus had a heart for those who were often overlooked. In that same spirit, the Maximus Munro Foundation relies on the people who know students best — their teachers, coaches, counselors, mentors, and peers — to identify those who truly deserve recognition.
If you know a student who works hard, lifts others up, and leads with integrity, we want to hear about them.
Nominations must be submitted by a teacher, counselor, coach, fellow student, or community mentor who has personal knowledge of the candidate's character and potential.
Students who demonstrate compassion, kindness, and inclusion — who have a genuine commitment to helping others and making people feel seen and valued.
Students who show initiative, curiosity, a strong work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit — who pursue their goals with determination and passion.
Students who demonstrate responsibility, integrity, and service — who are committed to making a positive impact in their families, schools, workplaces, and communities.

The Maximus Munro Foundation awards scholarships each spring to graduating seniors and recent graduates pursuing higher education, skilled trades, apprenticeships, technical certifications, and other career-focused pathways.
Scholarships are awarded based on character, work ethic, and commitment to others — not just grades.
To apply, you must first be nominated by a teacher, counselor, coach, fellow student, or community mentor who has personal knowledge of your character. The foundation will contact you after receiving a nomination to invite you to apply.
To be eligible for a Maximus Munro Foundation scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
High school senior or recent graduate
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a U.S. high school
U.S. resident
Must reside within the United States
Career-focused plans
Planning to pursue college, trades, apprenticeships, certifications, or other career pathways
Nominated by a trusted adult or peer
Must receive a nomination before submitting an application

Once nominated, you will be invited to submit a written application. Your application should address the following four areas:
Tell us what you plan to study or pursue, and how you intend to use the scholarship. Be specific about your school, trade program, apprenticeship, or career path and why you chose it.
Share how financial assistance would help make your educational or career goals possible. You don't need to share personal financial details — just help us understand why this support matters to you.
This is the most important part of your application. Share specific examples from your life — at school, work, home, or in your community — that show how you have lived these values:
